Create a Document
At the document one level above the required location, open the document's context menu and select New, and then select the document type required. The available document types will depend on the specific hierarchical structure of documents that is designed for your company's deployment of Planning Space. In a typical geographical hierarchy, for example, you might be able to add an 'Area' document under a 'Country' document.
Type the document name in the dialog and click Confirm.
The status of the new document is Pending and the document name in the hierarchy will be tagged with a pending icon

To complete the document creation, click the document name to open it for editing, and then click the Publish button. (You can also edit the document contents at the same time, before the first Publish). There will be a short delay while the creation process runs as a background process, and then you should see a confirmatory Notification: Document publish for version <X> - Document publish has finished.
In the hierarchy view, you will see an alert attached to the Reload button:

Reload to refresh the hierarchy view and the new document's status will appear correctly.
If you do not Publish the new document it will be stored in Pending state when you close the Planning Space session, and only visible for your user account.
